BTCNodes estimates Bitcoin network hashrate from Bitcoin Core data. Hashrate is inferred from block production and difficulty, not directly reported by miners.

How this estimate works
Bitcoin does not publish a direct live hashrate number. BTCNodes asks Bitcoin Core for an estimate using recent block production and current difficulty.
The 14-day comparison uses 2016 blocks, the same target-size window Bitcoin uses for difficulty adjustment. The number can move around because blocks do not arrive exactly every 10 minutes.
