When many users compete for block space, fee rates rise. When demand cools down, lower-fee transactions can clear. BTCNodes shows this pressure visually instead of making humans decode endless rows.

The mempool is the waiting room for valid Bitcoin transactions that have not yet been mined into a block. Each Bitcoin node has its own mempool, so totals can differ between nodes.
BTCNodes shows fee pressure, estimated queue depth, transaction fee bands, and a next-block candidate view. The candidate block shows what might fit next based on this node’s current transaction view.
Use sat/vB to compare fee rates. A higher sat/vB transaction pays more per unit of block space and is usually more attractive to miners when the queue is busy.
